Dr. Hogan is a Professor in the College of Medicine, Department of Health Outcomes and Policy at the University of Florida. He is Director of Biomedical Informatics for the Clinical and Translational Science Institute and Director of Informatics for the OneFlorida Clinical Research Consortium and co-principal investigator on the OneFlorida Clinical Data Research Network. To these endeavors, he brings over 15 years of experience in development and implementation of large informatics systems, such as electronic health records, healthcare data warehouses at three institutions, the National Retail Data Monitor for biosurveillance, and a suite of research informatics applications used in the National Children’s Study. Dr. Hogan is an accomplished researcher and practitioner of biomedical informatics, with expertise and research interests in biomedical ontology, electronic health records, research informatics, and biosurveillance. He has authored over 50 journal publications and peer-reviewed papers at conferences and has been principal investigator or co-investigator on over $70M of grant funding.
