I have spent the last 20 years in healthcare analytics in various departments: Information Systems, Quality Improvement, Business Analytics, and finally Research. For most of that time, I’ve been involved in integrating disparate datasets, flatfile, relational, and dimensional. OMOP is the first meta-data model I’ve worked with. We are implementing it to begin with for the All of Us NIH Research Program, but are hoping to adopt it more widely. The implecations for healthcare analytics are exciting, and I’m enjoying the challenge.
I am a former Microsoft MVP (2006-2016). For 12 years I taught college classes in database design and implementation. I’m also Epic Clarity certified.
