Hye Jin Kam is CEO of EvidNet in Korea. EvidNet is involved in CDM-related large-scale national projects in Korea and is responsible for the OMOP-CDM conversion of EMR data for more than 40 hospitals nationwide, as well as the establishment of a research platform on them.
She received her B.A. in Biology & Chemistry from Ewha Womens University (2002), her M.S. in Bioinformatics from KAIST (2004), and her Ph.D. in Medical Informatics from Ajou university school of Medicine (2011). She has worked as a software engineer at Samsung SDS, and has been involved in R&D and planning related to healthcare service at Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology (SAIT) in Korea.
She has professional experience on medical data analysis with statistics and machine learning algorithms at a deep-learning based healthcare startup, VUNO and Asan Medical Center, Korea. Her research interests lie on medical informatics, clinical knowledge discovery, machine learning and data mining, clinical decision support system (CDSS), early detection & prevention of diseases with bio-signals and EMR and ICT-related healthcare services.
