Aaron Potvien, PhD

Dr. Potvien is a Research Scientist at the Georgia Tech Research Institute and is interested in machine learning and applied data analytics. He has a PhD in Statistics from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, where he conducted research on patient health outcomes using EHR data at the Health Innovation Program. He has a strong programming background in R and Python.
Dr. Potvien’s participation with OHDSI primarily concerns developing OHDSI’s Gold Standard Phenotype Library — a community resource to enable the sharing and reuse of high-quality peer-reviewed computable and heuristic cohort definitions. He is leading the Gold Standard Phenotype Library Working Group and appreciates collaborating with the OHDSI community.
