Dave is an alumnus of Drexel University in Philadelphia with a major in Information Technology and Sciences. He has over 18 years of experience being involved in all aspects of data warehousing and data management working with clinical data and clinical analytics solutions. While working at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia developing, launching, and evangelizing the CHOP Data Warehouse, Dave also led projects with clinicians and floor supervisors to put innovative analytic solutions to improve patient safety and outcomes. Dave has 7 years working in EPIC EHR, and holds multiple certications for EPIC.
In early 2019, Dave joined Odysseus Data Services to help realize OHDSI’s mission. Dave has contributed to OHDSI by innovating within CDM conversion project by bringing his many years of ETL development, quality assurance, and project management experience to improve delivery and quality of OMOP CDM ETL and sharing these methodology within the community. He is passionate about healthcare informatics and strongly believes that data science will play a critical role in healthcare innovation in the coming years.
