OHDSI Symposium 2015: CALL FOR POSTERS (Deadline: September 14th, 2015)
The Observational Health Data Sciences & Informatics (OHDSI, pronounced Odyssey) team is now accepting submission abstracts for poster presentations at the first annual OHDSI Symposium to be held on October 20th, 2015 at the Washington Hilton in Washington, DC.
The OHDSI program is a multi-stakeholder, interdisciplinary collaborative which aims to bring out the value of health data through large-scale analytics and open-source software tools. OHDSI has established a global community of observational health researchers and a data network including over 500 million patients.
OHDSI’s open-source analytics tools and data network rely on the OMOP Common Data Model. The OHDSI Symposium builds off the success of past OMOP Symposiums in providing a collaborative venue to share research and applications for advancing best practices in observational data research.
Submission Guidelines
Poster submissions should describe recently completed work that is relevant to OHDSI’s mission and conducted using OHDSI tools. To be considered, the submission must include a 2-page abstract, based on the OHDSI Submission Template. Please prepare your poster based on the OHDSI Poster Template using the following dimensions: 30″ wide x 40″ tall (76cm x 102cm).
All submissions will be reviewed by the symposium organizing committee. Successful posters will be displayed during an afternoon poster session and uploaded onto a permanent poster repository on the OHDSI website.
Please note, all presenters should list any applicable declarations or conflicts of interest on their poster.
Topics of interest include (but are not limited to) use of the OMOP Common Data Model in:
Data standardization
Data transformation
Data quality
Methodological research
Clinical applications
To demonstrate the value of the OHDSI research network, priority will be given to collaborative OHDSI projects.
