First India Symposium Set For October 5 in Mumbai;
Wide Array Of Community Leaders Scheduled To Lead Event

The first OHDSI India Symposium will be held Saturday, Oct. 5, at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, India. In association with the Global Digital Health Summit, this event is set to bring together more than 20 community leaders in the field of health data research for a day of sharing, learning and networking.

Following opening remarks by both Louis Hendriks and Dr. Rajendra Pratap Gupta, there will be an overview about the OHDSI community and a discussion about the OHDSI India chapter. There are also brief talks that will focus on the European Health Data Space, RWE & RWD in India, and Data Collection Challenges in Hospitals.

There will be a pair of panel discussions during the event, focusing on both leveraging real-world evidence to improve health outcomes in India, as well as the power of data in healthcare transformation. There will also be a two-hour collaborator showcase to highlight the exciting research taking place in the region. Registration remains open through Oct. 3 at 5:00 PM (Asia/Kolkata).
