Shawn Dolley is an OHDSI cheerleader. He works as a management consultant providing expertise, coalition building, and advocacy for innovative approaches to global health security. Currently, Shawn is consulting full-time for The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Shawn advises on use cases in precision public health, digital transformation in research and epidemic surveillance, outcomes, and adaptive interventions. Shawn was Cloudera’s Director of Management Consulting for Life Science & Healthcare and a ‘Transformation Coach’ to pharma, federal agencies, funders and providers as they move to an AI and big data-driven approach. Shawn has led health & life science evangelism teams at multiple tech companies, setting the vision, roadmap, solutions and partnerships in areas such as precision medicine, real world evidence and clinical prediction. Shawn designed a Health Outcomes Analytic Appliance in conjunction with Brigham & Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School. Shawn has worked in analytics since 1995. Shawn is a member of the Global Alliance for Genomics and Health and the Observational Health Data Sciences & Informatics collaborative. Shawn is on the Brigham & Women’s Hospital Precision Medicine board of advisors. He was recently named one of Washington DC’s ‘Fifty on Fire’, the fifty most innovative people or companies in DC. Today, Shawn’s most focused work is on precision public health advocacy, global computational epidemiology, and open source communities.
