Eduard Korchmar is an Independent Consultant with the SciForce Medical Team in Ukraine, specializing in the development of sophisticated automation approaches within the medical domain. With a five-year tenure within the OHDSI Vocabulary team, Eduard has worked with an extensive range of medical terminologies and codes, including GGR, dm+d, Gemscript, SNOMED, OPS, CPT4, HCPCS, RxNorm/RxNorm Extension, HemOnc, ICDO3, ICD10PCS, ICD10GM, and many others.
One of Korchmar’s significant achievements has been the great improvement he made to the Drug and Procedure Domains in the OMOP ecosystem. He is recognized as an expert in SNOMED CT terminology. Additionally, Korchmar played a key role as a developer in collaboration with SciForce on Jackalope, an OHDSI tool designed for mapping complex source terms to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of semantic mapping within the healthcare industry.
