Dr. David Vawdrey is Vice President of the Value Institute at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and holds the rank of Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical Informatics at Columbia University. He took his PhD in Biomedical Informatics from the University of Utah, and also studied Computer Engineering and Computer Science at Brigham Young University. NewYork-Presbyterian’s Value Institute brings together experts from fields such as data science, biomedical informatics, research methods, biostatistics, and healthcare redesign. Partnering with collaborators at Columbia University, Cornell University, and at other organizations, the Value Institute implements and evaluates health services innovations that enhance the safety and quality of healthcare.
